Impel
Can I invest in Impel via a Token?
Impel has no plans to release an XRC-20 token on the XDC Network.
How did Impel come to be?
Who are Impel's advisors?
Joining Impel’s team of advisors are both the XDC Network’s founders Ritesh Kakkad and Atul Khekade, as well as SWIFT veteran André Casterman, who spent 24 years at SWIFT, leading various technology innovations in interbank payments, corporate payments, corporate treasury, and trade finance.
Blockchain | Distributed Ledger Technology
What is a blockchain?
A blockchain is a decentralized and distributed digital ledger that’s used to record transactions across many computers in a way that prevents individual blocks from being altered retroactively.
What is distributed ledger technology (DLT)?
XDC Network
Does the XDC Network have a good block explorer?
The Observatory is XDC Network’s primary block explorer. It offers much more than a typical block explorer with actions such as:
- Watchlist - receive email notification when an address in your watch list receives an incoming/outgoing transaction.
- Transaction labels - add a personal note to the transaction hash to track it in the future.
- Address tags - personalize and easily recognize addresses of interest.
How does the XDC Network compare to other blockchain networks?
The XDC Network is a fork of GO Ethereum and it is an enterprise-grade blockchain. However, it is much more efficient and significantly less expensive to use with a 2-second block time (with finality) and up to 2,000 transactions per second (TPS), with near-zero gas fees of $0.00001 (or less) per transaction.
How secure is the XDC Network?
The XDC Network uses military-grade security, as well as forensic monitoring to quickly identify and shut down bad actors before they become a problem. Plus, all validating nodes are Know Your Customer (KYC) compliant.
What are network gas fees?
A gas fee is something all users must pay in order to perform any transaction on the XDC Network. Gas is the term for the amount of $XDC, the native digital asset coin of the XDC Network, required by the masternodes that run the network. Gas fees are usually very inexpensive, around $0.00001 (or less) per transaction, on the XDC Network compared to other layer 1 blockchains.
What is the XDC Network?
Where can I find SDKs and other developer resources?
Where can I take a look at the XDC Network code? Is there a GitHub repository?
Financial Messaging (ISO 20022 compliant)
Are Impel's financial messages ISO 20022 compliant?
Absolutely yes!
Does Impel offer an ISO 20022 demo to try out?
Yes, Impel has a self-paced ISO 20022 compliant financial message demo for you to try at your own pace. Access the demo here.
How is Impel's ISO 20022 financial messaging service different?
Besides being more secure and significantly faster, Impel does not charge a fee to use its service offerings (except for the low XDC Network fee). This means that Impel is generally a significantly lower-cost solution than legacy providers.
How secure are Impel’s financial messages?
Is it hard to implement Impel's ISO 20022 API?
We’ve designed the ISO 20022 financial messaging API to be plug-and-play, so your team can just replace your existing API with Impel’s version. For instant settlement using $XDC or XRC-20 tokens it requires more advanced setup and handling, but our team is ready to help.
What if I have no existing infrastructure for using Impel's ISO 20022 API?
Financial Institutions should be using the shift to ISO 20022 to rethink their strategic approach for how payments are integrated into the wider business, infrastructure, and growth strategy. Our highly capable and experienced development team can tailor-fit financial messaging (ISO 20022 compliant standards) and or instant settlement into any business/technology model.
What types of collateral can be sent in Impel's ISO 20022 financial message API??
Currently, you can send $XDC coin, the native digital asset coin for the XDC Network. In the future, you’ll be able to send any XRC-20 tokens on the XDC Network, including stable coins.
Who are the best candidates for implementing Impel’s ISO 20022 financial messaging?
R3 Corda Bridge
What is Corda?
What is R3?
What is the R3 Corda Bridge used for?
Impel’s R3 Corda Bridge enables the $XDC coin to move to and from the public Corda Network, specifically to the Cordite CorDapp, where it can be used as a settlement vehicle inside the Corda ecosystem. This data can be recorded privately. Access the bridge here.
